PURPOSE

The Philippine Nurses Association of New Jersey (PNANJ) Somerset County Subchapter is offering to PNANJ Somerset County Subchapter members Nursing Excellence Awards in the categories of:

• Acute Care

  • ​A professional registered nurse who cares for patients in the acute care setting

• Ambulatory Care

  • ​A professional registered nurse who cares for patients in the ambulatory care setting

• Associate Member

  • ​A professional registered nurse of non- Philippine ethnic origin, who has been granted a license to practice in the country of origin and/or any state/territory of the United States; and who has paid the required membership dues to their chapter

• Community Service

  • ​A professional registered nurse who participates in voluntary service projects that support the community and/or address global health disparities

• Education

  • ​A professional registered nurse who is involved in educational activities as an organizer or lecturer

• Informatics

  • ​A professional registered nurse who integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science in the improvement of practice

• Innovative Nurse

  • ​A professional registered nurse who makes a significant impact outside of the acute care setting

• Mentorship

  • ​A professional registered nurse who leads by example and has contributed to the career progression of other nurses

• Nursing Care Facility

  • ​A professional registered nurse who cares for patients in a skilled nursing care facility

• Research

  • ​A professional registered nurse who has been a principal or co-investigator of a completed study or project in a health care setting
